Taking a step through the doors of La Dolce Vita at 36th Street Restaurant is like taking a step straight into Italy, where romance reigns freely and good food is the only kind available. This classic eatery was established at its now-famous location in 1975, as 36th Street Eat & Drink; however, its genesis is across town in south St. Joseph where it was originally known as Gates Inn. Italian cuisine came to 36th Street Food & Drink in 2003, prompting the restaurant's name to be changed again, to La Dolce Vita at 36th Street. General Manager Randy K. Collins and his staff pride themselves on providing patrons with exemplary service and delicious, perfectly prepared cuisine created fresh daily from the finest ingredients. The popular eatery features a full menu of traditional Italian dishes, American classics and contemporary delights, including bourbon glazed salmon straight from the grill and juicy baby back ribs, along with catfish fillet platters made just for the luncheon crowd. As a special occasion restaurant staffed by gracious professionals, La Dolce Vita is the ideal place to host event dinners.

We are equiped with 15 big screen t.v.s that you can watch one of our many sport packages. We also have 2 pool tables, goldentee live, live bands every friday and, a live d.j. every satuday night.
